My
name is Angela Schuller. I live with my husband and 5 children in Lakeville,
Minnesota. In the past I bred and raised Golden Retrievers and now, along
with the help of my family, we breed and raise the beautiful Cavalier King
Charles Spaniel. Experience has taught me many lessons. I have faced nearly
every situation (the happy along with the sad) that comes with breeding and
holding these little lives in my very own hands. It takes skill, dedication
and a vast knowledge of the breed to be successful. The road is not always
easy, but when I hold a tiny little puppy, still wet with its mother’s
nourishing waters, and watch it wiggle full of life and promise, everything
invested becomes worth it in that moment. And it just gets better as those
cute little darlings grow and open their eyes to the world and begin to
discover all that it holds. My
passion for breeding is deeply wedged in my heart. I am an experienced
breeder you can trust. Our Cavalier puppies are raised in ideal surroundings
with lots of space indoors and out. We live on a nice parcel of land just on
the edge of our community where the children and puppies alike have all the
free outdoor space they need, which is more than they can even use! Our
Cavalier puppies are nurtured and kept close and warm in a loving
environment, all while growing right under or feet. In our home a puppy’s journey begins in the
whelping pen, where the puppies are born in our bedroom and kept right near
our bed, where I can reach down and touch them. Then at around 4 weeks, the puppies and mom
are moved to a nice penned area on the main floor. And from there we continue
the journey, moving towards the time
the puppies are ready to leave us and littermates behind to begin a new
adventure; a new and wonderful life with you and your family. But
before that day comes, my family and I work hard to make sure they learn all
the many important things a puppy must along the way. From day one our
puppies have constant, loving human Contact. They are handled gently often
each day and each step into the world is taken in appropriate steps. As the
puppies grow their world expands and important stages in learning and
development are reached. Both mom and littermates play vital roles in social
behavior development, so for the first several weeks they are constantly
together. Then as they grow older and become more independent, we begin to
introduce things which are common-place in a dog’s everyday life living with
a “human pack”. |

FOR INSTANCE… *Our puppies are used to having every inch of their
bodies handled because not only are they handled often each day, but starting
from the day they are born, we give them gentle, full-body massages. This gets them comfortable having
their paws, ears, toes, tails, etc. handled and examined, which makes trips
to the vet and grooming & bathing easier.
It aids to induce calm and relaxation, and instills total trust in us
as their leaders. Of
course, it turns them into excellent couch companions as well! *Our puppies are very well socialized because we
understand the vital lessons taught by mom & littermates and we allow for
this important, natural learning to take place. As our puppies mature we
introduce them gradually to different types of social settings and a variety
of interactions, including attention from visitors of varied ages, exposure
to other animals, walks & exciting car rides, and even things like vacuum
cleaners and other noises. We also introduce the basics of house training! *Our puppies are well adapted to life away from mom and
littermates and are content to sleep and eat in a crate alone because at
around 6 or 7 weeks we begin taking each pup off alone for short periods of
time to develop their own identity and to minimize separation trauma. During
this time they are played with one to one and introduced to a crate at slow,
increasing intervals. This makes the transition to their new home at 10 weeks less frightening and
more peaceful! *Our puppies are accustomed to wearing a harness and
walking on a leash. It’s part of what we introduce during our one to one
contact. Because as every dog knows, walks are fun, fun, fun! |

THE PRICE OF A CAVALIER PUPPY Prices for Cavalier
Puppies range from below $500 to above $3000 Consider these factors when choosing a
breeder: Are health and breed quality
Priority One? Is the breeder well informed? Are they affiliated with
well-known and reputable registries like AKC? Are puppies and adults raised
indoors in a family pet environment?
Do they take time to answer
any and all questions? Do they care about you and
your home environment? Are you a welcomed visitor in
their home? And finally price: PRICE TELLS YOU A LOT!
Reputable
breeders focus on BREED HEALTH. Purchasing a puppy whose parents have had
only BASIC health exams is not enough. All adults should receive Board
Certified exams for HEARTS & EYES. These are necessary to help ensure the
health of the puppies born and the lines they are from. Breeders who sell
their puppies at low prices likely do not understand the importance of these
exams, or worse, they are simply not willing to invest extra money in their
litters or in YOU. For a happy HEALTHY Cavalier expect to pay between $1200 -
$2500 for a PET Cavalier. To consider paying less is a gamble ending in
possible pain & suffering for your pet and terrible heartbreak for you!! NO
ONE CAN GUARANTEE PERFECT HEALTH - NOT EVEN THE BEST BREEDER But
a reputable breeder will provide you the best odds by investing in the health
of their beloved animals whom they consider their family pets. A Health
Guarantee does not guarantee health as much as it does a reputable breeders
high quality breeding program. SO WHAT IS THE PRICE YOU
PAY FOR A CAVALIER? IN THE END IT IS UP TO
YOU! All of our puppies receive an
ophthalmology exam and a very thorough health
exam by our trusted, highly qualified veterinarian to determine the absence of
heart murmurs and to approve their overall health. |
